Daily digest and weekly summary

Alongside expiry alerts, Tidehawk sends two scheduled summaries. Neither one is triggered by an alert, and neither replaces one.

Email Sent Who gets it
Daily digest 08:00 on weekdays, in the workspace timezone Owners and admins with Daily digest on
Weekly executive summary Monday at 08:00, in the workspace timezone Owners and admins with Weekly executive summary on

Both are sent once per period. If the send hour has passed by the time the scheduler reaches your workspace, the digest still goes out that day, and it is never sent twice for the same day or the same week.

The timezone comes from the workspace, not from the individual user. Set it on Settings under the workspace name. The default is Europe/London.

The weekly executive summary is part of the Growth and Scale plans. On Starter it is not sent, whatever the toggle says. See Plans and limits.

A snapshot of the estate as it stands, plus the last 24 hours of activity.

  • Certificates expiring within 7 days, 30 days and 90 days
  • Certificates discovered in the last 24 hours
  • Domain registrations expiring within 7 days and 30 days
  • Alerts fired in the last 24 hours

If anything expires within 7 days, the email opens with a warning banner counting those items. If nothing does, it says so plainly. A View dashboard button links into the app.

What the weekly executive summary contains

Section titled “What the weekly executive summary contains”

Written to be forwarded to someone without a Tidehawk login, covering the seven days just finished.

  • Under management: clients, certificates, domains, and certificates discovered during the week
  • Needs attention: certificates already expired, certificates expiring within 30 days, and alerts fired during the week

The banner reflects the worst case. Expired certificates make it critical, certificates inside 30 days make it a warning, otherwise it states that nothing has expired and nothing expires in the next 30 days.

Both are per-user settings, so switching one off affects only your own inbox.

  1. Open Settings and go to the notifications section.
  2. Switch off Daily digest or Weekly executive summary.

The change takes effect from the next send. Every summary email also carries a link to your notification preferences in its footer.

  • A workspace whose subscription is suspended, cancelled, unpaid or paused receives neither summary.
  • If every owner and admin has the toggle off, nothing is sent and nothing is queued.
  • Counts are taken at send time, so a certificate renewed an hour after the digest went out still appears in it.
