Notification preferences
Notification preferences are per person, not per workspace. Changing yours does not change what a colleague receives.
Where to find them
Section titled “Where to find them”Open Settings and go to the Notifications section. Each toggle saves as soon as you change it and confirms with a short message.
The four preferences
Section titled “The four preferences”| Preference | What it controls | Default |
|---|---|---|
| Daily digest | A summary email each weekday morning | On |
| Immediate critical alerts | An email when a certificate has 7 days or fewer remaining | On |
| PSA ticket confirmations | An email each time Tidehawk raises a PSA ticket | On |
| Weekly executive summary | A Monday morning summary, written to be forwarded to management | Off |
Daily digest
Section titled “Daily digest”Sent once per weekday at 08:00 in your workspace’s timezone, not a fixed UTC hour. Set the timezone in Settings → General. Nothing is sent at weekends, and only one digest goes out per day even if the job runs more than once.
Immediate critical alerts
Section titled “Immediate critical alerts”This preference governs the fallback recipients for certificate expiry alerts. When an alert rule carries no explicit email addresses, Tidehawk sends to the owners and admins who have this switched on. When a rule does list addresses, those addresses receive the alert regardless of anyone’s personal preference. See How alerts work and Email alerts.
PSA ticket confirmations
Section titled “PSA ticket confirmations”Sent when Tidehawk creates a ticket in your PSA, so you know a ticket exists before your technicians find it in the queue. See Integrations overview.
Weekly executive summary
Section titled “Weekly executive summary”Sent at 08:00 on Monday in your workspace’s timezone. If that hour is missed, the summary waits for the following Monday rather than arriving mid-week with a stale heading.
Who receives these emails
Section titled “Who receives these emails”All four are sent to owners and admins only. A technician can set their own toggles, but the four emails above are not addressed to technicians. Technicians still receive alert emails when an alert rule names their address directly.
Emails you cannot turn off
Section titled “Emails you cannot turn off”Some messages are not covered by these preferences because they concern your account or your legal position rather than monitoring:
- Invitations, password resets and sign-in security messages.
- Trial reminders, cancellation notices and payment failures.
- Notice that a Tidehawk support engineer has started a session in your workspace.
- Confirmations for data exports, erasure requests and erasure certificates.
If emails stop arriving
Section titled “If emails stop arriving”Tidehawk stops sending to an address that has hard bounced, so a mistyped or closed mailbox is skipped rather than retried forever. If you expected an email and none arrived, check the address on your profile in Settings → Your profile, check your spam folder, and then contact support@tidehawk.co.
